The Big Move: Part I

I know I haven’t been writing everday like I used to, but it’s been so much stuff going on. Yesterday Elijah had to have surgery and I went in with him until he feel asleep. I couldn’t handle it especially with being even more emotional while pregnant. I managed to keep it together until he was asleep and I left the surgery room, then it was tear city. I was so angry inside because he shouldn’t have to go through that and it’s my parents fault not mine. I asked them to stop giving him so much candy, stop giving him sippy cups full of juice at night. They kept doing it anyways like I don’t know nothing. Oneday I came over before he went to bed and what do you know…Elijah is going to bed with a sippy cup. He didn’t need a sippy cup when he was with me during the week, but it’s all fine and dandy because I’m going to bring a few of my dreams to life this year and the next. I’m moving to Flordia in October for sure. No more talking about it I’m doing it. I decided the next time I move it will not be another apartment in Cleveland it will be to Flordia. I’ll have about $3000 saved in October plus my security deposit and whatever I have in spending money and I’ll be out of this state for good! If I have to I’ll even take out a loan to help with the move. In July I’m taking a week trip there to look at apartments and apply. That trip will be about $800. The plane ticket is $226 and I’m going to stay in a cheap motel like a Super 8 or something. Those only cost between $35-$45 a night, I might rent a car or just catch the bus since it’s so nice I won’t mind. It all depends on the costs and how close the apartments are. It would be nice if Jeremy came so it would be some extra cash to spend on a rental car, but if he doesn’t want to go or move with me and the kids that won’t make me stay here. I’m still leaving with him or without, I hate Cleveland. I always hated Cleveland ever since my Mom and Dad moved to the heights area. I hate the weather and everything about this state. I’ll just get child support for Destin and the new baby before I move so I won’t have to go through the hassle of getting it in Flordia.

I’m going to open a savings account in February and start saving about $300-$400 a month. It would be nice if the income tax covers the Flordia trip in January after paying off my car and fixing the alternator, then I won’t have to pay extra. Even if it’s enough to cover just half of the trip that would be good. Regardless if it does or doesn’t I can still afford it. I’ll just have to be on a strict budget from February to June so I can have the $800 by July.

I would be nice If I won like 10 grand. I would probaby move in July if that happened, but that’s only a dream…

Moving cost

Truck cost $1048.00
Apartment $1200.00 (possibly if having to pay 1st & last months rent)
Food         $300.00
Rent         $800.00
Hotel         $100.00
Gas          $200.00

Total (max) possible cost: $3648.00

Total (min) possble cost: $2848.00

Well I gotta get about 3-4 cans of white paint and paint the walls back. If I wasn’t having another baby I would’ve stayed another year….well I probably would have still moved anyway and it would’ve been cheaper because it would be a 2 bedroom apartment not a 3 bedroom to move in.

I hope they have a Huntington Bank in Flordia so I won’t have to switch banks again. Today I’m going to look at some more apartments online and see if there are Huntington Banks in Flordia.
