Diane sounds like a real piece of work. Granted adults with special needs do require more patience and much more time but that shouldn't matter because they're your kids. Like you said, she planned to have them and from your description, it seems as though since they are not "normal" she doesn't do what she needs to do as a mother. It seems as if she can't devote just a little extra time to show God that she appreciates her blessing. She probably doesn't even know how to handle the children, that's the crazy part. And she will probably never learn to if she keeps putting it off on other people.
