samaraI’m changing the Strawberry Web Builders entire layout again. I liked the layout a girl used on a website called coolcherrycream.com because it was cute and different so I decided to try out her a layout, but with the Strawberry Web Builder theme. I then read a entry she had in her blog complaining about people copying her layout, but using a different color scheme so I’m going to change it completely. I’ll keep the banner and background because those are original, but I’m going to change the way the links are displayed in the top navigation and change the way the border changes with each page. I didn’t really like that effect anyway.
If someone mimicked my layout a bit I wouldn’t get upset, but flattered that someone liked my layout enough to try it on their website. So that’s that. The layout will be changed by the end of the day. I’ll then drop her an email saying I read her blog entry and I changed my whole layout since she was so upset about it. I don’t care. The layout isn’t all that anyway. I think that’s why I never really liked the layout anyway because it wasn’t really truely original. So I will change it and that’s all there is to it.

Hi Jenny,
I read your blog entry complaining about people using your layouts and yes I did admire the layout you used for your website tutorials and I tried a similar layout for a few weeks on my Strawberry Web Builder website. I’ve had my strawberry web builder for years. It was called the Strawberry Webbie Builder at first about 2 years ago when I first built it under 2 different websites (neopetsonly & leahs-webbie), but I thought that sounded childish so I changed it to web builder instead (more on that in the About section of sweetvanillasugar). Anyways if I was you I’d be flattered that someone like my layout that much that they would use it on their website. But because you were so upset I changed the layout completely. You don’t have to worry about me admiring your layouts and using them to see if they work for me. Besides I am a wonderful artist and am beyond creative with the love for originality.

I think the reason why I’ve been so down and upset is because I’m at home with my Mom and Dad and it’s so negative over there. I get lied on, talked about when I’m not present, complained about (for doing nothing),etc. I could feel the tension when I came back from Geauga Lake. It’s so much chaos and people being two-faced. I don’t think I can handle staying there for a month. It’s really been breaking me down emotionally. I’ve been in a bad mood every single day since I moved back there. I haven’t even had any sleep for two straight days. My Dad is so mean and selfish. He prays several times a day and says he’s a Muslim, but he is not humble at all.
