Gettin’ My Peacock On

Today I was a little bored and I decided to play in some makeup. I bought a 56 eyeshadow shade book from Icing the other day, that also includes 3 bronzer’s, 8 blush colors, and 28 lip colors (I’ve inherited the gene to love eyeshadow from my mom). Anyways, I decided to give these richly pigmented shadows a go.

I already own the Bare Ecentuals peacock colors, but it isn’t enough for me. It’s a beautiful green color with flecks of blue in it, but I wanted to try a more dramatic look, this go around. I also decided to try this face and eye primer by Loreal. I think I put a little too much face primer on and the next time around I will get a clear colored one instead.

Anyways, I decided to use 4 colors in my dramatic eye look including a bronze, a rich blue, a black, and a turquoise green. I completed the look with a pair of my favorite peacock feather earrings:

So how did I do it?

Well I applied the bronze shade (similar to the color on the feathers) all over my lid to my brow bone. I then buffed the turquoise-green shadow on my lids. I then took the blue shadow and added to the outer half of my lids and lined my water line with the same color. I then swept some matte black shadow in the hollow of  my lids and lined my eyes with black liner. Finish off with some mascara and an eyelash curler and you’re good to go!

I WISH I knew how to apply eye shadow like that. I’m only able to brush ONE shade on and go. LOL. I’m not really into make up but I ADORE eye shadow. You did an amazing job!
