samaraI’m going to apply for the down payment assistance program to get us a home. I’m tired of living in apartments and my family has grown too large for an apartment. When you have a home at least when you’re making payments it’s towards you owning it and not just to live their temporarily. I’m ready for my own house now.
I want to get a 3 bedroom 2 bath house with a huge back yard for the boys to play outside. I already applied for the Approved Homebuyer Education Class so I can get a certificate of completion. After that I will go to the next process of getting approved for the grant. I don’t know how long this will take, but I’m guessing a minimum of 6 months.
As soon as i get approved I’m going to start house shopping. I don’t want to live in a bad neighborhood, a place where their are dangerous animals living (pit bulls & gators in general), or a house on a busy street. I just want to live in a quiet neighborhood where everyone minds their business.
Oh yeah! I got a new member to the family. Her name is Sapphire. She’s a 2 months and 23 days old kitten. She’s white and her tail, top of her head and her back is gray and black with a tiger pattern. I’m also planning on getting her a sister in a few weeks or so. She will be an Egyptian Mau (beautiful cats with lovely spots and jade green eyes). Egyptian Mau’s are the oldest domestic cats alive…I can’t wait!
That’s amazing. I really hope everything works out for you and they give you the grant as soon as possible. I’m sure your kids will love a big back yard to explore and play around in, and you just cant do that in an apartment.
It sounds like you have a really good idea of where to start. It’s really exciting that you will be owning your own house, and it sounds like that’s what you need right now.

Homebuying confuses both me and my parents. It’ll probably be another 10 years before i have to worry about this, thank goodness!

I want to get a house too. Tired of renting a house with family. Gets on my nerves when they dont mind their own business. Sure I would love to link exchange with you =)
