Well, I went on maternity leave last Friday am it sure feels good to actually get some rest. Being 9 months pregnant at work really sucks. Right now I am 37 weeks and my biggest fear was to go into labor at work. My job is way to far. If I was closer I would’ve stayed longer, but being that my job is an hour away from home I had to make the decision to go on maternity leave 3 weeks before my due date. The last day at my job was the most difficult night ever. After completing my tasks for the night I had to leave the facility and sit at the hospital with a client. I was so exhausted because of my pregnancy and how boring it was. Sitting in a cold hospital in a hard plastic chair for 5 hours is not fun at all. I will never do that again.

So I had my baby shower today. A girl at Conway suggested that I have one to cut down on the costs of the things I have to buy so my friend Tenisha decided to host it for me. I must say, I appreciate everyone that came, but I am so disappointed in my family. The only person from my family that showed up was my mother. Such a damn shame really. I don’t think I will be putting anything else together and inviting them. I spent about $60-$100 of my own money purchasing a grill, and some decor. I also bought a lot of the food and the cake since I have foodstamps. I could’ve saved my money if I knew they weren’t going to come.
