Stretchmark Removal Test
Okay so now that I am pregnant,…I was wondering if I can rid myself of the old stretchmarks I have which are 4 years old and prevent any recurring ones…
Well I did a search on the internet a year ago and found a website called http://beautybeyondskin.com that has a stretchmark remedy that requires exfoliation of the skin in certain increments using a wooden massage tool and some body scrub mixed with aloe vera gel. It’s only $14.00 with a 6 month money back guarantee. I started using it last year, but lost my password to the site and I just repurchased the book and printed it out…just in case.
In the program Jean suggests applying a collagen-elastin based lotion after your exfoliation to help heal and regenerate the skin. She suggested a St. Ives collagen based lotion, but I decided to take it a step further and bought a 6 month supply of Trilastin-SR which was rather expensive, but if it works then it was well worth it.
The way Jean explains what strechmarks are and how to treat them made absolutely perfect sense. I read her story, FAQ, countless testimonials and viewed the pictures of her abdomen to see the program actually at work. In the FAQ section I found that doing the exfoliation while pregnant is perfectly safe…YAY!
So now that I have everything need, I will put Jean’s stretchmark removal remedy and Trilastin-SR to the test. This test will last for 6 months and I will post pictures monthly of my abdomen so you can see if it works or not.
Here is my before photo at 10 weeks pregnant on February 19th, 2007:

As you can see above, the stretch marks have faded quite a bit in the center due to using the Jean Exfoliation Remedy a year ago. Stretch marks are more severe on the sides of my belly and hips. This is Day 1 of the Stretch-mark Removal Test…
My Second photo on April 30th, 2007 at 21 weeks & 6 days pregnant:

As you can see the scar on my belly looks a lot better than before.

Honestly because I was bleeding I haven’t been using the Jean’s Exfoliation Remedy like I was suppose to because of the bleeding from the blood clot outside my uterus. I was afraid that it would hurt something so I stopped. I also just started using the Trilastin SR for about 2 weeks now and there is already some visible improvement in my skins condition and the stretchmarks. The are less indented and are blending in more with my skin tone. Starting May 1st I will start the Jean Exfoliation Remedy again and take another photo at the end of May.
My Third Photo taken on June 2, 2007:

As you can see the stretch marks are smoothing out and fading more and more. They are not as prominent as before from this angle.

My overall skin tone has improved dramatically and the stretch mark depth has started to improve.
My Fourth Photo Taken at 31 weeks & 5 days on July 8th, 2007:

Stretch-marks are looking better and better each month.

Still more work to do, but my tummy is looking pregnant beautiful. Honestly with my own eyes I can hardly see the stretchmarks anymore when I look in the mirror. They are really faint, but with a camera it still shows the depth of them so I know when they start looking more faint here then they will be completely gone.
This photo was taken at 37 weeks on August 19th, 2007:

Being this big is a bit depressing and this shot I took I despise so much!

The stretch marks are looking better on my hips, belly and waist. This is the last belly shot I am taking while pregnant. Next months shot will be after the baby so we can see how my belly improves postpartum.
Below is my very first postpartum photo. As you can see my skins overall appearance has improved. It’s more smoother and uniform in tone. Also the stretch marks on my sides have reduced greatly. You may notice that some of them have actually disappeared in comparison to my first belly shot. The silvery stretchmarks around my navel has decreased dramatically also! Since I’ve had my son I haven’t been using Trilastin twice a day, but I still use it when I remember. I’m going to continue using Trilastin for another six months (twice a day as directed) to see how far this cream can actually improve my stretch marks, so please continue to check back for more progress photos!
