So for starters let me say how proud I am of my recent accomplishment! I sent my papers off to the Secretary of State this month to register my company Ambrosia Hair as a Limited Liability Company! I am so pleased with myself. One step closer to my ultimate goal of making a rather good living off of creating unique, natural, haircare products for women of color! Ideas seem to flow in like crazy for my new business. Not that I use every idea I come up with, but let’s say I’ve had quite a few that are good enough to consider putting into works.

In other news, turns out the person handling the DNA aspect of my divorce went ahead and rescheduled the DNA test. He wanted to make sure he gave the lab ample time to send the results back so I can get my divorce in December. I honestly think that Brian won’t show up to this test either and I don’t care. Show up or not, I will finally get what I’ve been praying for. A way out of this mess! Finally to be free; Divorced from that mentally unstable idiot. I will finally be able to move forward. Not that I haven’t begun my journey forward already, but all ties to him will be officially severed. All I want to do is give my children a good life, including my youngest and I believe this child would have a better chance of stability and a healthy state of mind without the influence, tampering, and instability of Brian Crayton.

Well, other than that, life has been good to me so far. I have a new neighbor that lives upstairs which irritated me yesterday with her awesome plan to throw a teenage party at 8pm-11pm in our shared basement containing both our washers and dryers. This party included loud club music (profanity included) with teens singing and raping along, dancing and more than likely provocative dancing in the dark with no adult supervision! I had to go to work in the morning at 7am so I ended up calling the police on her at 15 minutes to 10. How inconsiderate of her? I stay in a duplex so wouldn’t it make sense for her to ask me? Or at least have the party in your part of the house! How ignorant of her! I really hope she doesn’t say nothing to me because I will tell her about her triphlant self. When the police came this dumb female was walking back from Save-A-Lot with bags of groceries and her younger daughter while the teens were left unattended in the basement. I ended up packing the kids in the car and going to my moms to spend the night because once the police left, they got loud again as if I never called them! I plan on moving real soon. I’ve already starting to look for a new place as I type this. I can’t stay there if that’s how it’s going to be.

So we’ve been constantly calling the landlord whom lives in PA to ask him to have the items fixed. He hardly ever returns our phone calls and I’m getting really fed up with waiting to have things done in this house. My youngest son is allergic to pet hair. It causes his legs to break out severely! And it’s getting worst each day. I’ve never seen my sons legs this bad before so yes, I’ve been in a foul mood and for good reason. It’s so bad now that it’s starting to travel up his back. It looks like something is eating him alive!

This morning I had it with waiting. I scheduled an appointment with Stanley Steamer and told my husband that I was going to have someone else come in and clean the carpet and for him to call that landlord up and tell him that we are going to take every repair we make out of the rent. We shouldn’t have to wait week after week for repairs to be done. Waiting on him and my son will end up having legs that look like they belong to some type of reptile instead of a child! Our appointment is on Tuesday next week, which means as of Tuesday, my sons legs can begin to heal and I won’t have to see dog hair anymore!

I got rid of my cat just for that reason as well as the fact that she made our house stink, and I knew we were moving into a carpeted house. I didn’t need that extra aggravation of having to deal with pet hair and my sons legs breaking out because the house is carpeted. What’s funny is the landlord called my husband back immediately after he left the message telling him that we were taking repair costs out of the rent. Isn’t that funny? He can’t seem to call anyone back until we say he isn’t getting all of his rent money. My husband told him that we are tired of waiting for something to be done and he will be getting the receipts for the carpet cleaning and repairs along with his deducted rent until all repairs are completed.

I also believe we are going to have to have a window or two replaced because there is an energy leak in this house. Most of the windows are replaced, but there are 6 windows that aren’t and I believe there’s an energy leak in two of them. I’m going to make an appointment for that as well because we cannot afford to be paying a $3000 heating bill due to bad windows. It just seems like no matter where we go, we always end up with a sorry ass landlord. Well, this time I’ve decided that we are going to take matters into our own hands because I am fed up with it.

In other news we are suppose to be moving out of this God forsaken apartment into a house this week! I cannot wait to get out of here. I am tired of this place! The heat makes a loud banging  noise when it comes on. – It sounds like prisoners in chains, banging against the bars with them. Literally, that’s how loud it is.  On top of that, there’s this loud popping noise that I have to try to sleep through that happens from time to time over and over again. Of coarse we have the mice issue which we can hear them scurrying through the walls and on top of that I’m getting really sick and tired of someone leaving boxes of unwanted food outside my door like we’re some charity case or something! We have a fridge full of food and people have the nerve! It’s quite insulting! The food is usually just crap they don’t want, expired cans of stuff, and or stuff thats opened already! Why would I use your left over salt! Or sugar you tied in a food storage bag? Do I look that stupid or desperate to say the least? If it was that bad here, I could easily go up the hill(a few blocks) and ask my mom and dad for help before I ever feed my family the left over scraps out of someones cabinet! Seriously I can’t wait until we move out. I’m considering putting a note on our door stating:

Please do not leave food here, we are not a charity case! Thank you.

At first I thought it was just a nice gesture even though we didn’t need it, but when it started becoming an ongoing thing it’s really irritating and embarrassing! It gives people the impression that we don’t have anything and that we’re just this poor family, struggling just to put food on the table!!

We live in an apartment owned by the same landlord that knowingly moved my husband, myself, and our 3 children into a bedbug infested apartment. When I discovered the horror of this I took the boys and we stayed at my Mom’s. I advised my husband to demand for our deposits back because it was totally unfair that he would move us in there under those conditions. He wouldn’t even take the proper steps to correct the problem. I called the Health Department on him as well as the Fire Marshall when he called himself imitating the company Thermapure by using a propane tank and a fan to heat our apartment.

He first agreed to give us our money back, but then offered us a new apartment somewhere else that he guaranteed was “bedbug free”. What a shame. We took it because we didn’t really have the money to move anywhere else at the time. Our security deposit was only $675, and that wasn’t enough to move, plus we were paying for our wedding at the time.

Now that we live here, I really just wish we would’ve moved into the apartment that I really wanted to stay in, which is cheaper, owned by an “actual” company, and offers so much more! Here is a list of things that are wrong with this place:

Water Temperature and Pressure: The water in the shower doesn’t come out with enough force, it just drips out at times. Sometimes it becomes scolding hot, or just plain cold. It’s a rarity that the water temperature and force is just right. I can’t take a bath because being a woman with sensitive genitalia I can’t take a bath because of the exceedingly high risk of getting an infection (if you are a woman, you should know what I am talking about). So, I have to basically sit on my knees so it won’t be submerged in water or stand up to bathe.

Easy Access for Rodents: Not only do rodents come into our apartment through the hole around the furnace (well into I got Sahara to keep them away), they also come through a huge hole in the wall inside our cabinet. How do I know? Because the drawer that is connected to that cabinet is full of rodent droppings!

Kitchen Light: I don’t know if it’s a fuse or what, but now the kitchen light doesn’t work. We replaced the bulb and still nothing. How am I supposed to cook for my family in the dark? Thank God the stove still works!!

Other Various Items: Closet in hall missing clothes rack, cold water faucet loose, $200 for our wedding & childcare vouchers stolen by maintenance man, huge crack in our bedroom window, need I saw more?!

Yes, home is not really my Heaven right now. I already sent him a 30 day notice to make the repairs because some of the things I’ve listed, we requested him to fix in September when we moved in. Don’t get me a wrong, it’s a nice apartment from the frontal view, but it has a load of problems that comes with it!

I decided to create a new theme for my blog yesterday in my favorite colors: Pink & Green. I call this theme “Simple Eternal Pleasure”, because I’m going for that simple clean look. Not quite there yet, but I’m well on my way.

I would like to rant about my stupid job before going to bed though…

As you may already know if your a regular reader of my blog, I busted my ass looking for a job. I came back to Ohio in July 2008, and didn’t find a job until April 2009. My job only paid me $8/hour and I was supposed to be part-time. I never really applied for this job. I actually applied for a full-time third shift position, but the woman that interviewed me hired me for her company instead working for chump change. My last check was only $325!

To remind you of some of the bullshit I’ve been going through with this job, when I first got hired 2 girls were leaving. They hired another girl, whom never showed up and I ended up working 6 days a week, but never achieved 40 hours a week! I hated going to work everyday like that and not even being paid for it! My highest check amount was a little over $400. I kept asking them to hire someone else because the constant work and low pay was burning me out. I ended up referring my frined Tenisha, when they failed to hire someone, just to find out they hired her on with no experience at a quarter more than me. I then later found out that another new girl got hired in at .75 more than me. I was furious and threatened to quit. The supervisor got mad at Tenisha for telling me how much she made, but I just understand how they can make me work 6 days a week, and when they hired more people they still have me working more than anyone, but I get paid less! The owner called and offered me a .50 pay raise to stay. I accepted it for now, just to find out that she only gave me a quarter raise. How fucking dishonest is that? Not to mention they then changed my hours without notice to accommodate this new girl. I have to pick my children up from day-camp at 3:30pm, but my idiot supervisor puts me on the schedule to work until 4pm after I told her this! When I talked to her about it, she refused to fix it and told me I’d just have to work it out with my sitter, because I have no set schedule and that my schedule is based on the needs of the house! She even had the nerve to say I need to give back. I basically saved their asses when 2 people didn’t show for work and I had to work 6-day shifts for a month because both the supervisor and owner went on vacation at the same time!

I’ve been working from 8:30am-2:30pm since the beginning of the summer, my daycare vouchers are based on these hours and now they just change up on me like that? Sounds to me like your not accomodating the needs of the house, but of new people!  That was the last straw. I’ve already decided on the day I’m going to give them 2 weeks notice!

Well I had to do my ranting for the day. Now I’m about to go shower and get a few hours of sleep.
