U.K. Lottery Winnings Scam & Emily Jackman Olivier

So another scam exposed I must say…

I’ve been getting a lot of scam, spam, emails from scammers claiming I won this so-called UK lottery etc. I usually delete the emails and block the email, but they keep coming. I received one email and decided to have a little fun by pretending I was a naive girl thinking I won. When I emailed the person at the very unprofessional email address(caroline-bush@hotmail.com). Man if you were really a lottery professional you’d have a domain email at the UK lottery right? I mean how stupid do these scammers really think we are? Here’s my email:

Hello,

I received a letter stating I won the lottery and I wanted to know more information about how to claim my winnings.

Sincerely,

Iris Dawn

Then Caroline which is probably not her/his name asked me to give her all this information from my address to my height, weight eye color etc. Basically everything on my license and then some. Now what in the world does my height have to do with winning the lottery. This is basically an identity theft scam.

I received yet another scam email today, but this scammer wrote a rather elaborate letter about how their an 80 year-old widow that is filthy rich and wants to turn her estate over to me. The scammer goes by the name of Emily Jackman Olivier. Notice the name Emily “Jackman” Oliver. That’s a dead give away right there. They even provided a website in the letter that is a fake CNN website:

http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/9809/swissair.victims.list/index.html

This scammer has a lot of time on his/her hands to collaborate this letter and the fake website. If they’d only put forth this much effort into a real job…

If you use common sense you would know that an 80 year-old woman wouldn’t be contacting anyone on the net. She’s too old school and in her day computer’s weren’t used to contact people through email. Postal mail and the telephone was. This letter is way too Generation X & Y to be from an 80 year-old woman. If anyone falls for this scam they are really an idiot! My 60 year-old grandmother doesn’t even use a computer like this!

Here’s an excerpt from the scammers letter:

Please reply only to the above email address (fedex.uk@live.co.uk) as i
will not be available to respond to your email. Let me repeat again,
ensure to contact them as soon as you receive this mail to avoid any
further delays and remember to pay them their Security Keeping Fee of £
165.34 GBP for their immediate action.

Note: Please I do not want you to thank me or my husband. All I need you
to do is to invest wisely with it and do the same good to someone’s life
someday as this is the only way this world would be a better community if
we render selfless services to one another.

Be also notified that I will no longer be reading my emails or surfing the
internet as I have retired completely from the outside world to my ranch.
At this moment I have nothing to do with cars, emails and other luxuries,
all further correspondence should be forwarded to the courier company for
the delivery of your cheque to you.

Yours Faithfully,
Mrs. Emily Jackman Olivier

Notice how she spelled “check”. They even went as far as spelling “check” the British way…this person really needs to get a life! I’m not going to just fork over $164 to some person I don’t know from Adam. He/she has got to be kidding me! I would put the full letter here, but it’s way too long and is not worth the trouble.

To sum things up if you get an email claiming you won the U.K. lottery or any lottery you didn’t sign up for it’s a scam. If you get an email from some so-called rich prince in Nigeria, it’s a scam. If you get an email from Emily Jackman Olivier it’s a scam, and if you get any emails claiming you won money or are needed to transfer funds to your account etc. they are all scams!

I posted this to warn anyone whom gets these letters so if you fall for these weak, idiotic scams then it’s all your fault for being so naive. No one is going to just give you a large amount of money like that so don’t get suckered into their false promises of quick riches!

I think you’re right. If anyone falls for scams like that it’s their fault. It is ridiculous though the amount of detail some people go through to make their scams look legitimate. If only they could focus that into something productive.

You know… a lot of times we figure that we won’t get scammed, or fall for it, but I’ve actually heard of people who fell for it.
I don’t stand for the scams, and I rarely get them. Once my emails start getting spammed, it’s over, I move on to a new email.

I hate spam and scams. It’s funny, because I’m the school tech. coordinator at the school I work at, and teachers email me all the time asking me if things are for real. Sometimes they don’t even ask. They actually think some things ARE true. It’s sad really.

The person writing these stupid letters is such an idiot…just wanted to share with you all my return email:

There were no victims on Sept 7th….there were only victims on Sept 2nd on the flight from NY to Geneva…the plane on Sept 7th only had to make an emergency landing………

                        The crash of Swissair 111

On September 2nd the Swissair 111 was on its way on a line flight from New York to Geneva. About 22.14 local time the pilot announced to air traffic control in Moncton, Canada, that he detected smoke in the cab. They decided to try a forced landing in Halifax.

But they didn’t make it. 10 minutes later the radio contact broke off, and after 22.30 the MD-11 crashed into the North Atlantic briefly like a stone, shortly before reaching the Canadian coast near Peggy’s Cove. 229 humans lost their lives.

The search for the causes still is under way, but it seems obvious that a final clarifying will be never possible.

It is strange that Black box and Voice recorder stopped their recordings at the same time, about six minutes before the crash, although they hang on different electric circuits.
According to reports of experienced pilots the aircraft itself would not have had to crash even if a total power failure on board would happen, since the most important aggregates are equipped with push pull cables for manual control.
So why a presumed burning of an electic cable could cause the crash? There isn’t any evidence for the fact that the airplane exploded in the air.

                        The BALAIR incident

We began with our research, when a further incident excited our attention: Only five days after the Swissair crash, on September 7th, 1998, an airbus 310 of the Swiss charter company BALAIR, occupied with 144 passengers, had to make an emergency landing on its way from Zurich to Vancouver, shortly after a regular intermediate stop in Halifax, because smoke had emerged in the board kitchen. The forced landing was successful, and nobody was hurt.

So you see…you have the date wrong…………….let me advise you the next time you send this SCAM please have the info correct…”what an idiot”…..how about you getting a life better than that a JOB and stop trying to scam people because believe you me I’m the wrong one and if I had given some money I would spend the rest of eternity trying to find you……………..so stop sending this bull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just wrote to verify all of this. Just today I received the email from Emily Jackman Olivier and it got me for a second then I realized…this can’t be true. So I just googled her name and sure enough this website popped up as a result. The only things different were the contact email for Mr. Mark Robbins (fedex.courierukf@live.co.uk) and the amount I was “supposed to pay” £255.34. Thank you for putting this together. It help me from even considering a stupid mistake. Good luck to others.
                            Thanks again

I have just recently got into the whole internet thing and learning about it. I never really had computers around that I could get on and play around with. I have learned so much in these last 6 months, but I do still get confused about things. I recieved an e-mail from that ‘Jackman’ person. I figured it was a scam, but thought ‘I’ve never recieved an e-mail like this?’ I thought I’d look into it, thinking maybe there are some really good people out there still. And, thought, ‘maybe my luck is changing for the better.’ I have been praying a lot to get out of this rut. I realize now that … YOU are the good person out there, helping others to realize scams. I pulled your site up when I googled the name Emilly Oliver Jackman. Thank you for helping others to open their eyes – espcially us nieve ones.
